Tactile Intimacy

Foundation Level: Embracing Connection
as a meditative practice

Allowing someone into your space; learning to rest in each other: This phase is designed to guide you through a series of tactile / somatic - connectivity incorporating breath -as meditative practice in seated and prone positions:

establishing trust, helping individuals overcome any shame, fear, anxieties, insecurities, and/or stigma related to sexual / non-sexual intimacy OR to simply come together tending to our own basic human needs, enjoying the benefits from the natural healing effects of physical touch, contact connection
Phase 1: Tactile/Somatic Connection

* In this phase, the focus shifts to exploring each other's bodies in a sensual and non-demanding way.
* We begin by applying gentle caresses to various areas of each other's bodies. This can include stroking each other's hair, providing light massages, and caressing the arms, back, feet, legs, face, neck, or hands.
We focus on creating sensations of comfort, relaxation, and connection - as we gradually explore more vulnerable positions
Phase 2: Incorporating Tactile Movement
Depending on the flow of the session we can also have some fun with an introduction to body painting sessions allowing another level of sensuality, vulnerability, exploration : art-somatica.com
Phase 3: Verbal Vulerability
You will be guided through simple verbal practices enhancing our verbal and physical intimacy - developing emotional intelligence.
In this exercise we learn to ask for what we want. Letting go of predetermined boundaries we also learn how to avail ourselves to another without compromising our own values - better understanding yourself and break down barriers that may be hindering genuine human connections,

Two vulnerable people will always find a way to Connect

Embracing the process
Although you will receive guidance; these sessions embody a non-goal oriented approach. Within this framework, we will discuss:

How to find your own comfort within each exercise without disrupting the meditative state
Honoring the Process: Embracing the beauty of allowing whatever arises during the session / Respecting the organic flow of experiences, whether for yourself or others.
Non-goal orientation does not imply a lack of purpose; rather, it signifies the freedom to embrace whatever emerges naturally. These sessions offer a space for authentic expression and the unrestricted exploration of inner experiences.

Embracing our Shared Humanity
It has been established that nurturing physical touch is vital for health and well-being. Yet many underestimate its importance or give no thought to the damaging effects of touch deprivation.
How many of us limit physical affection to family, partners, or friends? How many actually receive the quality of contact and connection we yearn for? How many wish to be more at ease in ourselves and interact freely without fear of judgment?
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing, There is a field. I'll meet you there -Rumi /// I invite you to explore tactile/somatic intimacy as a transformative meditative practice for embracing our shared humanity

Embracing a Shared Vision
In order to fully gain benefit from human touch, contact, and connection, it is crucial that we engage in more frequent interactions with one another. My ultimate goal is to establish a contemporary sangha, where participants of our workshops can gather on a regular basis to deepen their practice and expand upon the opportunities offered during these events.
The establishment of a dedicated space is a fundamental step towards creating a trusted network of practice partners, where individuals can freely convene and connect.
